Peter Sweatman
Peter Sweatman graduated with first class honours in Industrial Design from the University of Canberra. Peter started work with Caroma R&D in research to launch the first generation of Smart Flush toilets to the market. Since then he has worked at Caroma in various design and research focused roles, along the way gaining a Masters of Animation from UTS with the final project film appearing at the Melbourne International Animation Festival.
Peter has recently completed a PhD in user centred bathroom design for older people at UNSW Built Environment. Through co-design workshop programs and laboratory-based design investigations the research explores individual preferences and seeks to refine parameters to provide optimal solutions. The goal is to create bathrooms that work as integrated spaces that can be tailored and adapted to individuals to provide convenience, comfort and safety.
