Getting to know Alexander Lotersztain

What are your favourite product/s used in your Caroma capsule and why did you choose them?
Their minimal aesthetic.

Describe your approach to design?
Every approach is different, I like discussing the idea, thoughts and design needs with a client and come up with the best solution, both stylistic and functional for that particular project or object.

What inspires you in your design and how do you come up with your ideas?
Art is a great source of inspiration, but observing and staying curious is the main driver for my ideas.

What is the biggest single influence on your creative thinking?
Travel.

What is your strongest skill?
I think it’s a multiple set of skills that probably defines my work. My strength is my approach to design and my understanding of the intended market and needs.

What are you currently fascinated by and how is it feeding into your work?
80's East German pop, not really influencing my work, but great listening.

What are you passionate about besides your work?
Love extreme sports of any kind... mountain biking in remote areas. At least once a year and practicing the Wim Hoff method. I’m also currently learning to fly.
